Grant Application Timeline for 2025-26 school year:Implementation Fall 2025
Fall Application: Grant guidelines below apply. September 1, 2025 to November 1, 2025 OEF will notify grant recipients in mid-November. Implementation Winter 2025 Winter Application: Grant guidelines below apply. November 15, 2025 to January 15, 2026 OEF will notify grant recipients in February 2026. Implementation Spring 2026 Spring Application: Grant guidelines below apply. February 1, 2026 to April 1, 2026 OEF will notify grant recipients in mid-April 2026. |
Grant guidelinesOUSD Students may request up to $500.
OUSD teachers may request up to $1,000. Joint OUSD teacher/department proposals may request up to $3,500. Matching funds from PTA/PTO/NPA or other organizations are encouraged. Funding requests after deadlines will not be accepted. OEF grants are non-transferable. Only the named grantee is eligible to receive funding. Any modifications to the grants must have OEF Board approval prior to the modification. Traditional OEF Grant preferencesOEF is seeking proposals for educational projects that demonstrate the powerful and positive impact of public education. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit proposals that are in alignment with OUSD Priority Areas:
1) Environmental Stewardship and Regeneration 2) Creativity and Arts 3) Wellness-including mental, physical, and emotional health 4) Cultivating a Culture of Inclusivity. |
Student GrantsOUSD students may apply for grants of up to $500 to support their academic, artistic or athletic endeavors. Student Grants can be used for attending performances, training or classes, senior projects, student clubs, special field trips, service projects for the community or schools, or an enhancement to a class or school.
