TimelineDue to the pandemic, There will be two grant periods available for 2020-2021 School year.
Period one: October 20th-December 20th 2020 Period two: January 1st-April 1st Grant guidelinesOUSD Students may request up to $500.
Individual OUSD employees may request up to $1,000. Joint OUSD employee proposals may request up to $3,500. Matching funds from PTA/PTO or other organizations are encouraged. Funding requests after April 1, 2021 will not be accepted. OEF grants are non-transferable. Only the named grantee is eligible to receive funding. |
Application process in 2020-21 school yearOEF Grants Committee will be evaluating grants on a continuous basis within the grant periods.

Traditional OEF Grant preferencesOEF is seeking proposals for educational projects that demonstrate the powerful and positive impact of public education. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit proposals that are in alignment with OUSD Priority Areas:
1) Environmental Stewardship and Regeneration 2) Creativity and Arts 3) Wellness-including mental, physical, and emotional health 4) Cultivating a Culture of Inclusivity. |
Student GrantsOUSD students may apply for grants of up to $500 to support their academic, artistic or athletic endeavors. Student Grants can be used for attending performances, training or classes, senior projects, student clubs, special field trips, service projects for the community or schools, or an enhancement to a class or school.

Employee GrantsOUSD Employees may apply for grants that support an innovative classroom initiative or curriculum, or addresses a major need at a school site, across a grade level, or in a specific academic area.
